Lighting Services Inc is thrilled to announce our second straight year as being recognized as a Next Generation Luminaire (NGL) winner in the accent/track lighting category. Reflecting the more stringent judging criteria, the LumeLEX 2040 was one of only 33 entrants out of 328 total submissions, which were chosen as a “recognized” winner, meaning that it is considered worthy of specification by the esteemed judging panel.
With independent ratings of 98 CRI, the LumeLEX 2040 Series, based on the latest in Remote Corrected Cold Phosphor Technology by Xicato, has the highest Color Rendering Index of any LED on the market today, producing the most consistent, highest quality white light and maintaining extremely tight color control (within 2 MacAdam ellipses, vs. the NEMA standard of 7). Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the International Association of Lighting Designers, the NGL competition was launched in 2008 to promote excellence in the design of energy efficient LED luminaires for general illumination in commercial lighting applications. The judging panel selected the luminaires on the basis of color appearance, color rendering, appropriate illuminance, application efficiency, aesthetic appearance and style, serviceability and replacement.
