According to Arup's senior consultant Molly McKnight, "the lighting design concept for the store was to echo museum-style lighting by creating a relaxed environment in which varied levels of brightness and contrast are used to enhance the perception of space and the product displayed as well as to strengthen a brand image of innovation. We built flexibility and simplicity into the design by keeping fixture and lamp types to minimum and using a small number of orientations and beam angles to meet a variety of display options."
